We had a fantastic stay at this clean and spacious cottage. the location is perfect, with the town centre, river, Abbey, and Asda all within walking distance. Despite being near a road, the cottage is quiet and the immediate surroundings are picturesque. the owners have clearly put a lot of care into maintaining the cottage, and we appreciated the little touches like the picnic hamper and the well-stocked kitchen. the beds were very comfortable, and everything in the cottage was in good working order. Parking was easy in the nearby public car park. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cons: Nothing - all was good! 👍.

The cottage had a lovely and quaint atmosphere, making it a great find for a relaxing break. The beds were very comfortable, with good quality linen and the shower was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the kitchen was well-stocked with essentials like milk, tea, coffee, and even some sauces and jams. The location was also a plus, close to Shrewsbury but nestled in a secluded and quiet area.
While we were aware that there was no stairgate, we found the stairs a bit worrying for our young family. It would have been beneficial if the cottage had provided one, especially for families with children.

Our recent stay at Abbey Cottage was wonderful. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the river and town center. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like milk in the fridge and tea and coffee provided. The surrounding area was beautiful and secluded, making it a peaceful retreat. The historic charm of the cottage added to the overall experience, and the helpful literature and maps provided helped us make the most of our weekend. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as a bathroom mirror at an inconvenient height and visible bins outside the window, our stay was enjoyable. We were grateful for the DVDs left for us to watch, and the Peachtree restaurant across the road offered tasty food and great service. I highly recommend Abbey Cottage for a comfortable and convenient stay in this lovely area.

The location was perfect, close enough to the town centre for convenience but far enough away to avoid any noise or parking issues. The cottage itself was fully equipped with everything we needed, from the kettle to the cups and glasses. The main bedroom bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. The cottage was also very well maintained and clean, making it feel spacious and inviting. The view of the quaint buildings and chimney pots added to the charm. Additionally, the owners went above and beyond with little touches like a picnic hamper, books, and games. The communication with the host was excellent, and they were very considerate throughout our stay. I would highly recommend Abbey Cottage to anyone visiting the area!
While our stay at Abbey Cottage was overall fantastic, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The two single beds in the second bedroom were not as comfortable as the main bed, and the seats in the lounge were not very comfortable either.
